Here's a truly spectacular VERY vintage University of Washington Huskies heavy wool knit varsity letterman cardigan sweater, about size M / L (see measurements). This 1930s era relic model is in stellar, surreal condition. It's amazingly good! Check out the elegant
classic felt letter. Felt was used from about 1900 through the '40s, before chenille letters became more common. Check out the remnants of the leather strips (attached with staples!) inside the shoulders used to bolster the shape (see photos). Rock this absolute jewel! In summary, it's team-issued, game worn, authentic.
Get ready for some big "Boys in the Boat" styling! Think of the legendary UW rowing / crew program. In particular, the squad won gold at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin!
This baby is in great condition. No rips or stains. Use is quite light. For the age, the fabric is in fantastic shape. The colors are sharp. There's a subtle faint mark at the low back right (see last photo). There are a couple minimal snags. A few small holes have been
repaired by a seamstress. The yellow fabric is coming up a bit on the inside edge of the left side of the W. Let me emphasize the great condition the fabric is in overall.
