Here's a spectacular vintage Washington Huskies knit sweater made in Seattle, WA, USA by Sportcraft. This is an authentic, football team issued varsity letterman V neck pullover, given to Ernest Eilert Meader in 1929. WOW, what a relic. The 100% wool fabric is thick and durable. Check out the wool felt letter. There are even leather strips to reinforce the shoulders! The label tag says Bus Meader. Rock this RARE gem. It's 96 years old!
This baby is in good condition. The colors are sharp. There are no rips, holes, or stains. All holes have been repaired by a professional seamstress. You can see some bumps from subtle snags and repaired areas. The arm pits have some fuzzy wear marks. The letter has some wear spots / dots, two of which you can see go down to the deep navy sweater fabric. In the middle of the letter, part of the gold felt has separated from the purple background. There's fading at the back of the collar and atop the shoulders. See photos.
